Weddings Are So Complicated

Heather is absolutely thrilled about the prospect of getting married on Halloween.  It is without question her favorite day of the year already.  Personally, I think this is all a ploy by her to try and combine my birthday and anniversary gifts into one - she's always been rather frugal - but she claims I am mistaken.  We'll see!

Clearly this will not be a traditional wedding in any sense.  Heather is looking through books, catalogs, and on the internet for ideas.  The decorations will have a Haolloween theme.  We will do a handfasting ceremony, which sounds very cool to me.  There won't be wedding parties (best man, etc) and the seating won't be divided between friends of the bride or the groom.  Aside from how Victorian and Heatheresque the place she chose was, Heather selected it because they basically do almost everything for you.  The less hassle we have to deal with, the better.

Decorations and designing the ceremony itself will be Heather's big tasks.  My job is to listen and agree...and to show up at the appointed time and place as directed by her.  Sounds about right, don't you think?

Gotta go for now - random drug test tomorrow.  What fun!
