Back From the Honeymoon
Sorry to be away from the blog for so long. Heather and I are now officially married! The Halloween wedding was fun, although neither of us had much time to sit down and enjoy it. We were simply too busy playing hostess and host...it seemed like we barely had time to say hello to everyone!
Photos of the wedding will be a few weeks in arriving, as Melissa Weir (our photographer) has to process and edit the shots. But we do have a few photos of our honeymoon. We spend two nights at the Claiborne House Bed and Breakfast in Jefferson, TX (http://claibornehousebnb.com/
. I'll try to write a more complete desciption of our trip, either in the blog here or in Eternal Sunshine (or both).

I will include a few photos tonight though, and a whole-hearted recommendation. If you want to enjoy a romantic weekend, week, or even a mid-week getaway, the Claiborne House is a wonderful place to do it. Elaine, who with her husband Steve own the house, has a luxurious and breathtaking bed and breakfast. The food she prepares is delicious and ample, the location is quiet, and the home includes features such as two-person whirlpool tubs in some rooms, a private entrance and porch swing off one bedroom, and wireless internet throughout. Jefferson has antique shops, historical sights, the only natural lake in Texas, house tours, and much much more...all with the slow pace of the Texas country.
Jefferson is about a two and a half hour drive from Dallas, 15 miles off of I-20 (north on US-59 through Marshall). It's also close to Shreverport, LA. If you have specific questions, you can contact Elaine through her web site, or ask me and I'd be happy to tell you what I know! I'll tell you this much - we plan on returning next year!
Here are a few pictures. First is the entraceway into the house, complete with the Autumn Tree Elaine had put up:

I'll include more photos later. Thanks to everyone who attended the wedding or who sent us well-wishes!!
