A Sign of the Apocolypse
I went to Blockbuster tonight with the intention of renting The Stepfather (the original) which Heather had never seen. They didn't have it, so I spent some time walking along the permeter wall, gazing at the countless TERRIBLE movies which were out of stock. What is the world coming to? Who are the forty people who rented copies of "I Think I Love My Wife"?
But as I stood in line to buy a few used DVDs (Zodiac, Little Children, Seven) I happened to glance at the people in front of and behind me in line.
I couldn't see the title held by the woman in front of me, but the splash headline read "By the people who brought you 'Bring It On'!"....ugh...
And the guy behind me?
He was renting the unrated version of "The Dukes of Hazzard"...
This society is doomed...if the release of "The Hottie and the Nottie" was the sixth sign, my Blockbuster experience was the final, seventh sign...
It's over...

Stapfather 2 is a great bad movie. Those who like Terry O'Quinn in LOST should own all three seasons of Millennium on DVD as well!!!!! Harsh REalm (including some episodes not shown on FOX TV) is an ok little set, too, w/ TO'Q playing General Santiago!
